Belgium is a series of drawings based on “ mental images” descriptions of Belgium. They were written by people of various nationalities, social environments and ages who never came to Belgium. They were passed to me following a request I made on various forums Internet. Starting from these texts,
I recreate a model . This model is used to me as a base for my drawing. Nevertheless, I try to preserve an ambiguity: is this a real or imaginary space? The point of view, the lighting and the juxtaposition of certain elements nurture this ambivalence.
