In this series of books one can read «confessions» of what an artist needs to do, think or show to succeed in the world of contemporary art
Each sentence of the book begins with “I would like to be an artist“ and are followed by a coordinating conjunction (such as : but, or, and, so, yet, neither, because).
Each volume of the series uses a different coordinating conjunction.
Apart from this change of coordinating conjuctions, the sentences of each volumes are similar.
The change of conjuction modifies the meaning of the confession. Though It is still relevant about contemporary art.
This series of books is questioning the status of the artist today and highlights the absurdity of the variety of what is justifiable in contemporary art.
