A « Pensée sauvage » is having a double meaning in French : it can be translated as wild pansy, but also means wild thought.
This work is a hopeful allegory: the Pensée sauvage (wild thought - wild pansy) succeeds in emerging, even in the most unwelcoming environments.
Resulting from a slow process of observation, watercolour drawing and paper sculpting, it presents itself to the viewer in all its fragility.
This series of pieces features many of my reflections as an artist, a woman and a human being evolving in our society in the age of the Anthropocene and ultraconsumerism.
